Summary

I have a friend who lives in Rancho Mission Viejo. When I visit I usually start my day with a 2 hour walk of the Sendero Loop East trail and connecting roads and trails. There is some elevation gain, so you can get a good aerobic work out if you push yourself some. Cell towers and high voltage power lines blanket the area, as well as daily overflights of tanker jets spraying their contents down upon the masses. It is a challenge to be healthy here. I did see a red tailed hawk, a turkey vulture, and a road runner, as well as a lot of coyote scat. So life is clinging to what is left of this formerly pristine ecosystem.
