Use your demons to your advantage. This is a meme, intended to be funny. In a sense, it is funny: juxtapositions of the utter seriousness of life's issues with the grossly mundane and undramatic, such as applying an interior coat of paint, are bracing and helpful. They do help shift one's focus. They help integrate insight. The spiritual aspirant must "chop wood and carry water" as enlightenment approaches and transforms his point of view. But I hesitate giving this meme a more prominent position at my website because it does misrepresent the issue at hand, at least in relation to my own experience of "demonic possession" or "succubi." While there are always going to be challenges with negativity or actions that run deeply counter to your own wishes and aspirations, it takes on a qualatatively more serious dimension with internal "possession." Such possession is a literal obstruction to spiritual development. The presence of such an active and hostile phenomenon is a direct and immediate threat to your own capacity for Self realization. As long as this unwanted consciousness is rooted and active within you, you will not be able to be a vessel for the higher dimensions of God consciousness and the transmission of His blessing. You don't address such a problem by ignoring it or acting as if you are not under persistent psychic attack. You must, with every fiber of your being, attend to your demonic predicament and solicit the Holy Spirit's attention to be free and thereby redeemed of this Judgment. While I do, far too frequently, "paint," inasmuch as I have a career and I have bills to pay and social relationships to maintain, as much as I can I devote myself to this inner dilemma that must be resolved before I can move forward in my spiritual work.
